Khadi Goes Global:  A Conclave Celebrating 100 Years of Khadi” – 2019

Khadi Goes Global: “A Conclave Celebrating 100 Years of Khadi” Moving towards Global Sustainable Development Goals for the future of Mankind” was launched on Thursday, 21st Feburary 2019 at Handicraft and Handloom Museum of India, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi-110001.

To honour the spirit of Gandhiji and his long connect with Khadi , two historic organisations, founded under his guidance AIWEFA and FICCI FLO united to celebrate his 150th birthday for transformation of the socio-economic status of rural women.

The day long programme was a collage of events covering all aspects of khadi. It included crafs stalls, folk singers, side events and talks, a film on Khadi made by AIWEFA, a dance performance, fashion shows by reputed fashion designers, bollywood actors, show stoppers and Pearl Academy students.
