Project with NISD

May – August 2023

In collaboration with the National Institute of Social Defence (NISD), the All India Women’s Education Fund Association (AIWEFA) is proposing to organize one-day student workshops in FIVE SCHOOLS in NCR Delhi on “Promoting Intergenerational Bonding between the Young and Old” with following Objectives:

1. To generate awareness and understanding of the unifying roles played by both generations in creating a stable society.

2. To help overcome significant barriers across age, gender and cultural differences to build relationships in which they work with and learn from each other.

3. To use intergenerational (IG) approach to involve families, communities and other support systems to create healthy young people, strong families, responsible communities and a robust nation to achieve the UN goal of celebration of Decade of Healthy Ageing.

In collaboration with the National Institute of Social Defence (NISD), the All India Women’s Education Fund Association (AIWEFA) held five workshops in the following schools with 150-350 students in each school from middle secondary from Delhi/NCR:

● Pacific World School, on 4th May 2023

● Ridge Valley School, DLF Phase IV, Gurugram on 9th May 2023

● DLF QEC Innovative School Summerfield on 10th May 2023

● Shaheed Rajpal DAV Public School, Dayanand Vihar on 5th August 2023

● The Manthan School, Greater NOIDA West on 14th August 2023

The Project was coordinated by Prof Renu Malaviya and Dr Mayanka Gupta, who were also the Resource persons for the same.
