Project with DC Handicrafts

The objectives of the project were to compile and gather the AV material available at the office of DC Handicrafts and Catalogue the material available into the classification system with supporting information and a QR Code for each, ensuring the compatibility of the on various devices and making it ready to be uploaded to DC Handicrafts Website. Of the 455 Crafts, item analysis was done to see the information and sources that were used to research and collect information. In a unified way the data was collected based on Category/Sub Category, Origin/ Practice, GI/Non GI, History, Raw Material and Tools, Technique/ Process, Colour & Design and Product line; reviewed by the team for content, authenticity, photographs (Copyright free) and references. During the project, the videos from various sources were shared by the office of DC for reviewing, cataloguing, editing and finalizing. In addition, fresh videos were shot by the AIWEFA team, at various locations in Delhi NCR at the fairs and exhibitions organised by DC Handicrafts Office. The Videos that were also collected from different sources, in various formats and languages, were edited and enhanced for the audio-visual experience. All the One pagers, Images and Videos along with a print version were catalogued and organised for easy access and use.
